Houston Makerspace has closed as of August 1, 2016. We do not have plans to reopen. Thank you to all of our patrons and supporters over the past two and half years. While we are saddened that our impact will not continue, we are honored to have assisted so many successful makers to blossom within our walls and we are proud to have cultivated a spirit of collaboration in the Houston arts community.

Maclean, Patricia, and the entire Houston Makerspace Team

Houston Makerspace offers classes in a variety of disciplines, including:

  • woodworking
  • metalworking
  • rapid prototyping (which includes 3D printing, laser cutting, plastics casting, vacuum forming, etc.)
  • screen printing
  • ceramics
  • jewelry and metalsmithing
  • gardening
  • sewing and textiles

We also offer a variety of skill-based classes in supplementary subjects, such as Adobe and CAD software, photography, and small business. We specialize in building your maker skill sets, and helping you turn hobbies into businesses. Whether you want to learn something new or you’re ready to take your hobby or business to the next level, we can find the right class for  you.

We add new classes to our schedule every week. Some of the classes we are working on include: ceramics, floral design, children’s craft classes, textile design, and more! Keep checking our class calendar to see what new offerings have been posted this week.
